Another beloved item from my closet is going away…
This time it’s my Louis Vuitton Jacket. This jacket is product of imagination and craftsmanship that are treasured the most around the globe-at least for NOW! You’ve got to respect the principals of LV-nothing is ever going on sale!!! THERE’S NO SALE or seasonable price reductions!
In fact you’re LUCKY, if you’re able to get it…In addition to fine history of Louis Vuitton as suitcase makers that bought us the most famous pattern,when Marc Jacobs* first came on board and created the women’s collection for Louis Vuitton , he changed the perception everybody had of this fine, but very specific and conservative company towards new definition of true chic ** : cool-sexy-modern-collectible and instantly recognizable!!!
Every time I would wear this jacket I’d get compliments, but notice: it’s not a screaming design-it’s not look at me:”I am wearing expensive thing!” design…it’s the understated luxury-the best kind…
I am lucky to own a few items or Louis Vuitton***-I treasure them-I wear them with pride.
I wish the new owner of my Louis Vuitton jacket to get that aura of enjoyment and sense of pride, as long as she will wear it.
Damn economy, that pushed me to the extreme to part with it…thanks to eBay for making it painfully easy ….
I even took a few photos of myself-saying my "good buys" to the jacket.
But looking at the other side of this –the bright side– my jacket is going to England!!!
It will bring a little bit of me to England– a touch of my spirit – somewhere under the lining or behind the buttons….
