Lilies in the garbage.

Evening in Manhattan, the huge thunderstorm just finished, the streets look like they were washed throughout…
Corner of the 5th Avenue just off the Pier Hotel… Central Park is staring with dusk…
I came across this:

It made me wonder about the circumstances that these beautiful Lilies ended up in the garbage like that???

Scenario #1:
Handsome man is waiting on the corner for a beautiful woman…for 10, 15..25…35..minutes…first he’s confident enough and just proudly holding the lilies and doesn’t even look around…then he starts to show a little sweat on his forehead…he checks his watch and his mobile phone….he starts pacing along 5th avenue…10 steps one way and back..Then 15, 20 steps and back to the corner.
Crowds of Manhattan, even though it’s almost 8 pm - the after work crowd is either on the way home or at the restaurant, bumping into him…He doesn’t hold lilies UP anymore…he holds them DOWN…the long stems are almost touching the ground.
Another 10 minutes…then he makes a phone call…while on the phone his facial expressions gradually go through range of emotion:
-hello… (A little smile);
-…. (Smile is fading away);
-how are you (smile is almost gone);
-… (Frowns are appearing);
-why? (The cheeks turn bright red).
Then he turns around rather sharply, I can’t see his face, but even his back looks mad….I’m guessing she’s not coming…
Bunch of Lilies goes to the garbage on the corner of Pier hotel…

Scenario #2:
Beautiful woman wearing something white and lacy (wedding gown?) is walking form Central Park.
She’s holding lilies and looks like she is lost…or maybe she lost something (or somebody)??
Crossing 5th Avenue she doesn’t bother to look right or left …I can hear the sound of car’s breaks…it’s almost like she doesn’t really care if she gets hit ….
Thanks god it’s Friday – in the end of June and 5th Avenue is rather empty….
Her face looks pale even under elaborate make up…but still pretty and definitely unprepared for sorrow.
What could have happened to her?
Before walking into the hotel, she stops at the corner, glimpse over her shoulder at something in the coming dusk of Central Park and puts the lilies in the garbage.

If you think that above scenarios are banal….wait until you read below:

Scenario #3:
Flowers were thrown out of an office or hotel room (but if that's the case would't they be wrapped in that bag???).

Scenario # 4:
Street vendors put left-overs in the garbage (even so I’ve never seen a flower stand in this part of the city.)
Scenario # 5:
Do you want to suggest anything??
